We are pleased to announce the latest 6.8 release of Virtuozzo Cloud Platform for VMware and the codebase for clouds based on OnApp.
The new release extends the catalog of the third-party services you can sell with your cloud, enhances vCenter virtual machine orchestration, and delivers a better overall customer experience thanks to many smaller fixes and improvements.
Check out the highlights below, along with links to the full release notes, how to upgrade, or how to get started if you’re new to the platform.
User Service Add-Ons
Service add-ons allow you to offer additional solutions and services with Virtual Machines, to increase profitability and satisfy the needs of your customers.
Starting from version 6.8, we released support for a new “user” type of add-on that can be offered via a Service Catalog and enabled by customers for multiple Virtual Machines, rather than just a single VM. Version 6.8 has all the functionality you need to add and manage this new type of add-on:
- Automating service delivery via recipes and events
- Consumption tracking per service add-on
- Consumption tracking per user
Now, you can provide even more valuable additional solutions to customers right from the built-in service catalog. More information >>

- Improved the logic for retrieving free memory values from vCenter for clusters, which is critical for Virtual Server creation
