It has been a busy and exciting past few months for Virtuozzo. We entered the hyperconverged infrastructure space in December with the release of Virtuozzo Infrastructure Platform, which enables us not only to help service providers monetize private cloud opportunities, but also to help our enterprise customers reduce costs while adding agility with on-premises private cloud. It gave us great momentum to start 2019 before CloudFest where we strengthened existing relationships and started new ones with enterprises and service providers alike that are looking for ways to improve performance and increase efficiency in their data centers.
But nothing is better for a company like ours than having great people behind the technology, so I could not be more excited to announce the arrival of two new key members to our team: David Klauser and Makoto Nishizawa.
David Klauser has joined Virtuozzo as Sales Director, Americas. David brings 20+ years of enterprise technology sales experience in converged and hyper-converged transformation, software-defined infrastructure, and hybrid cloud-enabled business models with vendors such as Microsoft, Dell, EMC, Commvault, VMware and Cisco. Based in Chicago, David will leverage his global network of customers, partners, and strategic alliances to help Virtuozzo accelerate growth, strengthen customer relationships, and develop Virtuozzo as an industry leader across the Americas.
Makoto Nishizawa has joined Virtuozzo as Sales Director, Japan. A technology industry veteran, Makoto has spent time on both the engineering and business development side of organizations in Asia and North America. He spent his early career at NTT before joining Parallels as GM in Japan and then joining Plesk as Director of Asia Pacific Region. His proximity and depth of knowledge will enable us to better serve our customers’ needs and extend our reach within the Asia Pacific region.
