We are glad to announce the latest 6.7 release of Virtuozzo Cloud Platform for VMware with new features for MSPs and CSPs, including improvements in NSX-T Edge Gateway and NAT rules, our Veeam backup plugin and database performance.
Check out the highlights below, along with links to the full release notes, and how to upgrade – or how to get started if you’re new to Virtuozzo Cloud Platform for VMware.
NSX-T Edge Gateway improvements
IPsec VPN tunnels management
Site-to-site Internet Protocol Security (IPsec) is used to protect VPN tunnels between organization virtual data center networks, or between a virtual data center network and an external IP address. Now, IPsec VPN services can be easily configured on an NSX-T edge gateway and managed via Virtuozzo Cloud Platform for VMware.
NSX-T as part of Orchestration Models
Orchestration Models enable you to provide customers with a ready-to-go environment (VDC, networks, data stores) that they can use to deploy virtual servers. Starting from release 6.7, we’ve added the ability to use the latest VMware software-defined networking technology (NSX-T) with Orchestration Models, as well as being able to use NSX-V.
IP allocation via wizard
IP allocation was improved for the NSX-T Edge Gateway wizard:
- Instead of manually entering the Primary IP, users can select it from a list of available addresses
- The tooltip with available IP addresses consolidated from all IP ranges is displayed to help users allocate IP ranges for Edge Gateways
NSX-T NAT rules editing via UI
From release 6.7, users can edit NSX-T NAT rules via the UI. Cloud administrators can configure access to this feature using new permissions added in this release.
Veeam backup plugin
Now you can use the latest (v11) version of the Veeam backup plugin with both VMware products supported by Virtuozzo – vCenter and Cloud Director. Among the core improvements, it includes the ability to bill for the size of the backups generated.
Increased Database performance
In the 6.7 release we have implemented a new approach to database partitioning for hourly statistics. As a result, the processing time of the most time-consuming tasks is reduced by x5 times.
