Customers of Vultr now have the option to deploy machine images based on the most agile CentOS alternative, with significantly faster bug fix rates and releases compared to CentOS. On average, VzLinux releases are 48 days faster than CentOS.
With VzLinux 8 Vultr is offering more choices in more locations. Already a cloud leader with 17 locations worldwide, customers now have even more choice deploying VzLinux, a proven Linux distribution backed by Virtuozzo, a Linux pioneer with over 21 years of experience in delivering quality products, such as Virtuozzo Hybrid Server and Virtuozzo Hybrid Infrastructure.

Direct Connect is ideal for both low and high bandwidth workloads, offering dedicated private connectivity to increase throughput and reduce latency between your network and the Vultr platform. VzLinux 8 comes with a ready-to-use conversion utility for simple and on-the-fly conversion from CentOS 8 to VzLinux 8. Additionally, users can convert CentOS 7 machines directly to VzLinux 8.
