In an announcement this week, ISPsystem has confirmed full compatibility of ISPmanager with VzLinux, our fast, frequently-updated and forever-free Linux distribution. Great news!

As you know, ISPmanager is the popular web server control panel for website owners and hosting providers: it allows you to create Apache and NGINX web servers, configure DNS, manage domains, email, users and all of the tasks any self-respecting web host or webmaster/mistress needs to get done.

Now that ISPmanager runs on VzLinux 8, you can deploy it on virtually any platform: OpenVZ, KVM, VirtualBox, AWS, Azure, GCP, and even cloud images such as those on OpenStack, or via Docker.

Talking about the news, ISPsystem’s CEO, Pavel Guralnik, said: "We continue to develop the technological compatibility of our products with popular solutions around the world. Operating systems are a basic component of almost any server, and VzLinux will allow users familiar with this OS to manage the server in their familiar environment, while ISPmanager will automate and simplify work with web servers.”

ISPmanager handles virtual and dedicated servers, and provides automatic installation of content management systems including Drupal, WordPress, Joomla - as well as the ability to install APS web scripts (such as phpBB and PrestaShop), handle scheduled or manual backups, and deploy the panel’s built-in firewall.

Of course, this is important news for the global community of web hosts powered by Virtuozzo software, as Alex Fine, Virtuozzo CEO, says:

“Virtuozzo's technologies - both commercial and open source - are designed specifically to empower service providers… Pairing VzLinux with ISPmanager is a logical, beneficial move that will give service providers simple management of advanced web server automation. In turn, providers can redeploy resources and manhours to other areas of their business while easily maximizing their infrastructure, which can positively impact their bottom line.”
