Malicious bots don’t get anything like as much publicity as other Internet threats, but they account for more than 30% of all Internet traffic – and if you are not protected, they can have a serious impact on the performance, uptime and security of your cloud or hosting service.

In this session we’ll discuss the different types of malicious bot, the threats they pose to cloud providers, hosting providers and their customers, and how bots are used in coordinated attacks to search for (or create) vulnerabilities that can later be exploited with DDoS or brute force attacks.

We’ll also introduce an innovative solution from Virtuozzo partner, BotGuard. BotGuard has developed a universal way to protect cloud web assets, datacenters and web clusters by filtering web traffic at its landing point.

BotGuard can recognize and mitigate a wide range of threats including DDoS and brute force, and completely eliminate bad bot-induced traffic from your business.

Agenda:

  • Welcome & introductions
  • Bot types and their impact on infrastructure and business
  • How bots are used as part of coordinated attacks
  • The BotGuard solution
  • Q&A
